Squad update: Friday 29 May

Warrington Town can provide a further update on players from last season's squad.

Right-back James Melhado will be moving on to pursue other opportunities. He made more appearances than any other player last season, appearing 42 times having arrived last summer from Nantwich Town.

Everyone at the club wishes him all the best for the future.

Long-serving defender Evan Gumbs, who is just four short of reaching 200 appearances for the club, will report back for pre-season alongside Jordan Scanlon, Josh Shaw and Jack Doyle.

The club remains in discussions with defender Troy Bourne.

New signings for the 2026/27 season that have already been confirmed are winger Jack Goodwin, midfielders Bobby Bjork and Lewis Earl, and defender Alex McNally.
