Warrington Town's four-game winning run came to a remarkable end on Saturday as they fell to a resounding 8-0 defeat at Hebburn Town.
The Hornets hit eight without reply as they punished a poor all-round display from Paul Carden's side in the north-east.
First-half goals from Matthew Elsdon and Campbell Darcy put Hebburn in firm control at the break.
The goals continued to flow in the second half as Olly Martin hit a hat-trick after coming off the bench, while Jack Foalle scored a brace and Gary Martin rounded off the scoring.
The Yellows' only change to their starting XI following Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Ashton United was an enforced one, with the injured Troy Bourne replaced by Evan Gumbs.
But it was the hosts who took the lead in the 11th minute as Gary Martin flicked on a header inside the Warrington box, before Elsdon neatly dinked the ball over Liam Isherwood into an empty net.
It wasn’t long before the Hornets doubled their lead just six minutes later.
Gary Martin was heavily involved again as he unselfishly squared a pass towards Darcy in the box, who lifted an effort over Isherwood to make it 2-0.
The Yellows' first sight of goal came in the 30th minute, but Niall Watson’s effort from distance was caught by Dan Cameron.
In the second half, Hebburn continued to pick up where they left off as Olly Martin - who came on in the first half for the injured Joe Oliver -made it three in the 50th minute, unleashing an effort into the far corner.
Three minutes later, Olly Martin scored his second and the Hornets' fourth.
Liam Murray drove a low effort from the edge of the box towards goal which took a wicked deflection off Olly Martin’s foot, completely wrong-footing Isherwood.
On 66 minutes, another of Hebburn's substitutes found themselves on the scoresheet.
Olly Martin’s low drive from the edge of the box was spilled by Isherwood, with Foalle lurking at the back post to tap home the rebound and make it five.
Foalle also scored Hebburn’s sixth of the game. Good hold-up play from Gary Martin saw the winger released through on goal, and his shot went under Isherwood to score his second of the afternoon.
Just six minutes later, Hebburn found themselves in seventh heaven.
Olly Martin won the ball back in the Warrington half before composing himself to slot past Isherwood at his near post to seal his hat-trick.
There was still time for the Hornets to score an eighth of the afternoon as Gary Martin converted from close range after a Briggs free-kick came into the box.
Paul Carden's side will hope to bounce back quickly and end their difficult run of results on the road, with an away game at Bamber Bridge to come on Tuesday night.
