Warrington Town have a new number one in the shape of experienced goalkeeper Mateusz Hewelt.
Hewelt, 29, has spent the past three seasons with Radcliffe, where he made 140 appearances, winning the Northern Premier League title and being their regular goalkeeper during two solid seasons in the National League North.
He was previously with Tranmere Rovers and had spells in the NPL with Bamber Bridge.
Manager Paul Carden said: “His signature is a real boost for the club. He’s had a lot of National League North football with Radcliffe, he won the NPL with them and he is a keeper who’s had a lot of interest.
"We’re delighted to have him on board. He’ll add experience and stability, and hopefully he can lead us to the same achievements he did at Radcliffe.”
From Poland, Hewelt was scouted by Everton as a youngster and came through their youth system, being part of a Premier League 2 winning side, before leaving in 2019, and having a spell in his homeland with Miedz Legnica.
Hewelt said: "It’s local to me, I know the fanbase is really good and it’s a nice ground. I spoke to Cards, and I liked what he saying about the club and how he likes to do things.
"I played a lot of games at Radcliffe and I’d like to think I’ve gained quite a lot of experience that I’m hoping to bring here. It helps as a ‘keeper when you’ve been playing: your decision making is sharper.
"I’m pretty well-rounded, I like to come for crosses, I like to make saves like any other ‘keeper really, I like to be able to use my feet.
"Staying here for a few seasons is something I’d like to do, help the club and move forward.”
