Preview: Warrington Town vs Prescot Cables

Warrington Town are back on home soil this Saturday as Prescot Cables visit the Cal.Delivery Stadium.

The Yellows earned a point away at promotion-chasing FC United of Manchester last weekend, but they will be keen to make amends after their two-goal advantage was diminished by the Reds, who struck twice late on in a 2-2 draw at Broadhurst Park.

Paul Carden's men were forced to fight back for a point in their last meeting with Prescot Cables in September, with Mark Isong cancelling out the Pesky Bulls' goal on the stroke of half-time.

Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

Forward Joe Rodwell-Grant has extended his stay at the club on loan from Curzon Ashton by an additional month and is in line to feature once more.

Goalkeeper Jamie Jones, who made his debut against FC United of Manchester last Saturday, will enjoy his first home appearance against Cables this weekend, with Liam Isherwood still sidelined.

Paul Carden preview

Warrington Town manager states that his team must replicate their performance against FC United of Manchester for the full 90 minutes as they go toe-to-toe with Prescot Cables this weekend.

The Yellows took a deserved two-goal lead at Broadhurst Park on Saturday, and had opportunities to extend their advantage before the hosts hit back with two late goals to earn a share of the spoils.

With just four points separating the Yellows from a spot in the play-offs, Carden is confident that his side can continue to pick up results against tough opposition.

"It's going to be a big game," Carden said.

"I saw that Prescot won 2-1 [on Saturday], so that's a good win for them.

"It's another tough game, but we're at home, so it's on us. We need to perform as we did for that hour [against FC United of Manchester] for 95 minutes.

"We'll be at it. We'll work hard this week and get ready again."
