League allocations confirmed for 2026/27 season

The FA have today released their league allocations for Steps 1-4 ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Warrington Town are one of 22 teams to be placed in the Northern Premier League Premier Division following their 14th-place finish last season.

Alfreton Town and Curzon Ashton return to the division after they were relegated from the National League North.

Joining them at Step 3 next season are NPL East Division champions Redcar Athletic and NPL West Division champions Bury.

Quorn moved laterally to the NPL Premier Division from the Southern League Central, though the club intends to appeal the decision, while Rushall Olympic moved the other way after spending last season in the NPL.

Emley and Avro, who won promotion through the NPL East Division play-offs and NPL West Division play-offs, respectively, complete the list of teams at Step 3.
