Warrington Town are back on home soil this Saturday as they welcome high-flying Scunthorpe United to the Cal.Delivery Stadium in the National League North.
The Yellows will go in search of their first win in six league outings, after suffering a late 2-1 defeat away at Needham Market last weekend.
Meanwhile, the visitors, who sit in second place, come into this fixture on the back of three consecutive victories as they look to close the gap to league leaders Chester.
Paul Carden's side will be hoping to replicate their performance in the reverse fixture back in September, with Joe Rodwell-Grant's late finish enough to secure his side a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Attis Arena.
Peter Clarke suffered a hamstring injury in the defeat at Needham Market which could rule him out for a couple of weeks, while both Jay Harris and Josh Amis were carrying knocks following the game.
Andy White and Evan Gumbs are still sidelined through injury. New signing Aaron James is available to go straight in to the team.
Warrington Town forward Elliot Morris insists the squad is fully committed to rectifying their current situation as they head deeper into the business end of the season.
It has been difficult going of late against teams in and around the Yellows in the table, with Paul Carden’s side earning a share of the spoils against Farsley Celtic before succumbing to a late 2-1 defeat away at Needham Market last time out.
With Town’s winless run in the league now standing at six games, they face the tough prospect of needing a result against Scunthorpe United in their bid to overturn their recent run of form.
Despite the challenge ahead of them, Morris believes that while the team are ready to give it their all when the Iron visit WA4 this weekend, they are counting on the support of the fans to help get them over the line.
“It's definitely one of the games you look out for in the fixture list,” he said.
“But equally, we're under no illusions that every game between now until the end of the season is crucial.
“We’ll make sure we are ready to give it our all again, come 3pm on Saturday. We know as a group, from players to staff, what needs to be done, and we’re 100% committed and up for the battle."
