Stefan Mols keen to avenge Guiseley defeat

Warrington Town will be out for revenge when Guiseley visit Cantilever Park this weekend, says midfielder Stefan Mols.

It will be the Lions’ second visit to Cantilever Park this season.

On their last trip to Cheshire, they dumped the Yellows out of the FA Trophy with a 1-0 victory

“Whenever you lose a game, you’re always looking forward to the next game against them to put things right, and this Saturday is no exception to that,” Mols said.

“It’s always great to play at home and I’m sure all the lads will agree.

“Especially with the atmosphere and support that we get from the fans, it’s always nice to repay them with a good performance and three points at home.”

Mols is the Yellows’ top scorer this season, having found the back of the net seven times in 29 appearances.

He has started each of the last three matches for the club, having been forced to bide his time in recent weeks as fellow midfielders were given a chance.

Mols says his time out of the starting XI is testament to the quality of the squad which manager Mark Beesley has assembled.

“Everywhere you look on the pitch, there’s competition for positions. That’s a great thing to have in a squad, and it pushes each other,” he admitted.

“Nobody wants to be on the bench, especially with the good run of form that we’ve been having.

“The competition that we have gives myself and everyone else the drive and motivation to force their way back into the team.”
