Warrington Town begin their 2025/26 Northern Premier League campaign on Saturday afternoon by welcoming Cleethorpes Town to the Cal.Delivery Stadium.
After two years away, the Yellows return to Step 3 following their relegation from the National League North last season.
Tomorrow, they face the NPL East Division champions Cleethorpes Town in the first-ever competitive meeting between the two sides.
Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.
Paul Carden will have the majority of his summer signings to select from ahead of their league debut for Warrington Town on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Li-Bau Stowell has been drafted in from Preston to cover for the enforced absence of Liam Isherwood, who is currently sidelined through concussion protocol.
Josh Amis, Evan Gumbs and Elliot Morris are also ruled out as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.
Warrington Town manager Paul Carden states that the ultimate goal of the upcoming campaign is to bounce straight back to the National League North, as they kick off their 2025/26 season tomorrow.
It's been a particularly busy summer period for Carden, with 12 new faces introduced in a major squad overhaul following the Yellows' relegation from Step 2.
While he admits that it will take time for the squad to settle into his ethos, he believes that they are more than ready to tackle the challenge ahead of them.
"It has been a busy summer, a tough summer, but I'm really pleased with the players we've brought in up to now," Carden said.
"We're still working at getting the right people through the door, and we'll keep working at it.
"With the amount of signings, if you get things to click straight away, it's like winning the lottery. It's going to take time and patience.
"That doesn't mean that we aren't setting our bar high. We want to bounce straight back, and the players who have come in are all well aware of last season.
"They all know what our goals are this season, and promotion has to be the aim.
"It's important that we get off to a good start. Cleethorpes have moved up from the East Division as champions and have a lot of players who can hurt us if we aren’t on our game."
