Warrington Town would like to remind supporters of the impact of their behaviour at matches.
In each of the club’s past two matches, the match officials have reported incidents involving members of the crowd - at home to Rushall Olympic on Saturday and within the segregated fans area away at Chester on Tuesday night. This has included throwing small items and targeted verbal abuse.
As a result, the club is facing disciplinary action and potential fines, which naturally has a detrimental effect on the running budget of the club.
Previous incidents this season has resulted in an increase in the number of segregated home games, further increases in policing costs and increased requirement for external security personnel.
There have already been a handful of stadium banning orders handed out by Cheshire Police following incidents this season, and any perpetrators of incidents reported by the authorities face the same punishment.
We will continue to work with the police and the external security teams to ensure the Cal.Delivery Stadium remains a positive place to watch and enjoy football for all supporters.
We thank the vast majority of the club’s supporters for behaving in the correct manner and thank them for their unwavering support, especially away from home, during a difficult season.
