Warrington Town can confirm that Russell Benjamin has left the club to join National League North side Southport on a one-year deal.
Benjamin, 27, was part of Paul Carden’s squad last season and made five starts, while also being named as a substitute on 20 occasions.
Although initially named in the raft of retentions for the Yellows at the start of the summer, he has received a full-time offer from Southport and the club did not wish to stand in his way to pursue that opportunity.
The club would like to thank Russell for his time at the club and wish him all the best for the next chapter of his career.
