Warrington Town can provide a further update on its retained list following the end of the 2024/25 season.
Captain Josh Amis, defender Evan Gumbs and midfielder Bohan Dixon will all be returning to the Cal.Delivery Stadium for the 2025/26 campaign having agreed terms to stay, with Dixon just nine appearances short of reaching a milestone 250.
Last season’s top scorer Amis, who has 64 goals for the club to his name, is due to have knee surgery over the summer but remains a key part of Paul Carden’s plans.
The return of a fully-fit Gumbs ahead of the new campaign will be welcomed too - he made 28 appearances last season before suffering injury, and was a pivotal part of the side that won the Northern Premier League play-offs in 2023, a mainstay in the back four.
The trio will be joined at pre-season training by defender Matty Makinson, who has been invited back to earn a new deal.
Left-back Jack Hont will not be returning due to his work commitments in the fire service.
We thank him for this efforts across the 26 appearances he made for the Yellows after arriving from City of Liverpool last autumn.
Talks are still ongoing with veteran midfielder Jay Harris to extend his stay at the club into its fifth season.
