Preview: Whitby Town vs Warrington Town

Warrington Town make the 266-mile round trip to the east coast this Saturday in a Northern Premier League clash against Whitby Town.

The Yellows fell to a 2-1 defeat away at Hednesford Town on Tuesday evening, and they will be keen to kick-start their season with a first victory of the campaign this weekend.

Whitby, meanwhile, are unbeaten from their opening two outings, picking up four points from a possible six.

It will be the first meeting with the Seasiders since February 2023, with Town picking up a point in a 2-2 draw at home, courtesy of a Matty McDonald brace.

Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

Midfielder David Morgan, who is yet to make his competitive debut for the Yellows, will continue to be assessed for a hamstring issue which has sidelined him for the opening two games.

There were no fresh injury concerns for Paul Carden following Tuesday night's defeat in Hednesford.
