Preview: Warrington Town vs Leek Town

Warrington Town kick off the new year by welcoming Leek Town to the Cal.Delivery Stadium in the Northern Premier League.

The Yellows' last action of 2025 saw them share the spoils in a 1-1 draw with local rivals Rylands on Boxing Day.

After a difficult start to the season, Paul Carden's side have steadied the ship in the previous two months, which has seen them move from the relegation zone to their current spot in 8th, and they will be hoping to build momentum once again as they head into the second half of the campaign.

Leek Town, on the other hand, will be keen to complete a double over the Yellows, after emerging victorious with a 3-1 win at the F. Ball Community Stadium back in August.

Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

Paul Carden will leave it late to select his squad, with a couple of players unable to train earlier in the week through knocks which have been assessed.

Scott Butler could make a return to the matchday squad for the first time since he suffered an injury on the opening day of the season.

Jay Harris is expected to be OK to play despite being forced off early through injury on Boxing Day.
