Preview: Warrington Town vs Chorley

Warrington Town are back on home soil this Saturday as they welcome Chorley to the Cal.Delivery Stadium in the National League North.

It was a much-improved display from the Yellows who fell to a 3-2 defeat away at in-form Hereford on Tuesday evening.

Paul Carden will be hoping that his side can replicate their performance in midweek when they host another of the division's high-flyers in Chorley, with the Magpies looking for revenge after Radcliffe ended their 10-game unbeaten run on Tuesday.

Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

Full-back Jack Hont is a doubt for tomorrow's game after picking up a knock in Tuesday's trip to Hereford.

Jay Harris will also be assessed prior to the game, while defenders Evan Gumbs, Andy White and Peter Clarke will remain sidelined through injury, as will captain Josh Amis.

New signing Matty Makinson could feature for his second debut at the club after appearing on the bench in midweek.

Paul Carden preview

Warrington Town manager Paul Carden insists that his side will go 'all out' as they look to earn a crucial three points in their bid to move off the foot of the table, starting with Chorley this weekend, and then into next Tuesday's clash against Scarborough Athletic.

While results have not gone their way, goalscoring has been a significant obstacle for the Yellows, with Tuesday's defeat at Hereford being the first league fixture since October where they have scored more than once.

Chorley's visit to the Cal.Delivery stadium this Saturday will be yet another tough challenge for his side, but Carden, who oversaw a 1-1 draw away at Victory Park on his return to the club in October, will aim for nothing less than maximum points tomorrow afternoon.

"We need to be getting something from every game, that goes without saying with where we are in the division," he said.

"We're going to go all out for the points in both games, starting Saturday at home to Chorley who we know won't be easy.

"We got a good point early on, on my return [to Warrington Town].

"We may have one or two back from the players who have been injured - hopefully, that gives us a bit more depth in the squad.

"With the support that we've been getting, I'm sure we'll be definitely ready for it."
