Warrington Town will make the trip to Greater Manchester this Saturday as they prepare to face Radcliffe in the National League North.
It will be the second successive fixture on the road for the Yellows, who will be hoping to build upon last weekend’s battling 1-1 draw away at early promotion hopefuls Chorley.
Paul Carden’s men are without a victory in six league outings, but their last defeat came at the hands of this weekend’s hosts, with Radcliffe knocking Town out of the FA Cup in a 2-1 defeat at the Cal.Delivery Stadium last month.
Despite this, Boro have otherwise struggled to find a foothold in their first season at Step 2 – they are yet to record a victory, having picked up four points from their opening nine fixtures, and with both sides aiming to pick up a much-needed three points, the 50th meeting between them is shaping up to be a thrilling encounter.
Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.
Warrington Town have been bolstered by the additions of midfielder Dana Amaral and defender Theo Farquaharson ahead of this weekend’s clash at the Neuven Stadium.
Amaral was most recently at Rylands, whilst Farquharson made his Yellows debut last weekend, coming off of the bench in the draw against Chorley.
There were no fresh injury concerns for Paul Carden following last Saturday’s game.
Warrington Town manager Paul Carden states that his side will need to re-discover their attacking threat if they are to attain the levels that they are capable of.
The Yellows snatched a last-gasp equaliser in the draw against Chorley last weekend, with Connor Woods’ firing home from the penalty spot in Carden’s first game back in charge of the club.
Prior to his arrival, Town had only managed to score more than one goal once this season – which came in the 2-1 victory over Kidderminster Harriers, and the Yellows boss is placing precedence on the task of finding the back of the net more consistently.
“I knew there were a lot of good things already going on,” he said.
“Sometimes you just don’t get that bounce, a bit of rub of the green or you’re on the wrong end of a decision, but that’s football and it happens at all levels.
“In terms of the group that’s here, there’s obviously a lot of lads that I know like I’ve said before, but I also know there’s a lot of quality here.
“We’ve just got to try and work that quality so we get more of it out and we look more of a threat.
“Obviously that will take a little bit of time and work, but it’s something we’ll definitely be focusing on.”
