Warrington Town gear up for an Easter bank holiday double-header as they look to close out the National League North season on a high.
Up first for the Yellows is a short trip to Merseyside for their penultimate fixture on the road, as Marine welcome them to the Marine Travel Arena tomorrow afternoon.
A quick turnaround ensues, as Paul Carden's men prepare for their final home fixture of the season when Southport visit the Cal.Delivery Stadium on Easter Monday.
Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixtures.
Ollie Southern and Mo Doro did not take part in training this week and are unlikely to feature in either of the Easter bank holiday matches as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.
Apart from that, there were no other injury concerns from last weekend's 2-1 defeat against Brackley Town.
Warrington Town manager Paul Carden insists that his team must find some level of consistency as they prepare to bounce back from relegation at the first time of asking.
The Yellows have endured a difficult second season in the National League North, and with the drop back to Step 3 confirmed, Carden is counting on players to show some fight in the final three fixtures of the season.
"We know that we’ve got capable players in our group, but we haven’t been consistent enough to give us the chance to win games," he said.
"Levels are all about consistency - in the Northern Premier League, we were always up there and challenging at the right end of the table, while at this level, from Christmas 2023 onward, it wasn’t as good as the first half of our debut season in the division.
"To be as comfortable as we were last season was a great achievement, but this time around, I think it was very much a case of second-season syndrome.
"Moving forward, we’ve got to be a lot more consistent because that determines your levels - if you’re inconsistent, you tend to end up near the bottom of the league, which is where we’ve been.
"Nothing will change in terms of what we’re looking for in these last few games - we want to win.
"We’re looking for people to stand up and be counted on no matter what. To have a bit of pride in the shirt."
