Warrington Town are on the road to the Silverlands stadium to face Buxton in the BetVictor Northern Premier Division.
Here’s the latest preview…
Debutant goalkeeper Bobby Jones stole the show at Cantilever Park on Saturday afternoon against Scarborough Athletic, pulling off several brilliant saves, while centre-backs David Raven and Mark Roberts put in a performance that showed just why they both made the league’s team of the year last season to keep the Seadogs out.
Josh Amis struck the Yellows into the lead, before hitting the post only for Jack Mackreth to react first and score on virtually the last kick of the match for a 2-0 victory.
Warrington are just one-point away from the play-offs, and manager Paul Carden recently added Isaac Marriott from Huddersfield Town on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old could make his debut tonight.
Buxton currently sit 17th, and held table toppers South Shields to a 1-1 draw at Mariners Park over the weekend, with Warren Clarke striking for the Bucks.
This will be the first meeting of the 2019/20 season, and the sides last met in April last season, resulting in a 2-2 result.
Skipper Mark Roberts and Bohan Dixon netted for the Yellows on the day.
Before then, Warrington claimed a 2-1 victory at Cantilever Park thanks to goals from Jack Dunn and Dominic Reid.
We are scheduled to host Buxton on March 14 at home.
