Preview: Bamber Bridge vs Warrington Town

Warrington Town travel to face Bamber Bridge in the Northern Premier League this evening.

The Yellows endured a deeply disappointing 8-0 defeat away at Hebburn Town at the weekend, ending their four-game winning streak in all competitions.

Paul Carden's side make the short trip to Lancashire to face a Bamber Bridge side who have already bested them this season, after they progressed through to the next round of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win at the Cal.Delivery Stadium back in August.

Please note: There is a planned pitch inspection at 3pm.

Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

There were no fresh injury concerns for Paul Carden following the defeat against Hebburn Town.

Paul Carden preview

Warrington Town manager Paul Carden states that his team must react to Saturday's devastating result against Hebburn Town.

The north-east outfit inflicted an 8-0 loss on the Yellows, their heaviest defeat in over four decades.

It's a disappointing result in many ways, especially given that his side displayed some excellent form in their previous four home matches,  but now Carden admits that they will have to start from scratch following the loss at the weekend.

"There has to be a response," Carden said.

"As embarrassing as Saturday was, it’s got to matter to them, and there has to be a determination for it never to happen again.

"That can’t happen wherever you are. We had 30-40 fans get up early, get trains or get in their cars to come and support us, and we showed them that.

"We have to respond in the right way on Tuesday and react to this, because that level of performance is unacceptable. There are seven games this month, and we’ve got to get back on it.

"We were one defeat in six in the league before Saturday, which is good form, but after a result like that, it all has to start again."
