Preview: Bamber Bridge vs Warrington Town

Warrington Town's second Northern Premier League away game of the week takes them to Bamber Bridge this Saturday.

Having been held to successive draws against Rushall Olympic and Prescot Cables, Paul Carden's side will go in search of their second league win of the season.

The Yellows will also be out of avenge last month's 3-0 defeat which saw them exit the FA Cup at the expense of Saturday's opponents.

Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.

Team news

Bohan Dixon is likely to return to the matchday squad having sat out the last three games with a groin strain.

The team passed through the match away at Prescot relatively unscathed, though Jack Doyle will require a fitness test pre-match on an ankle knock.

Paul Carden preview

Paul Carden has challenged his squad to avenge the "hurt" they felt following the recent FA Cup defeat to Bamber Bridge.

The Yellows were beaten 3-0 on home soil, and although Carden insists the scoreline wasn't wholly reflective of the game, he insists his players need to sharpen up in both boxes to take maximum points on the road this weekend.

"The scoreline really hurt us, because when you look at the game as a whole, we conceded on half-time when there probably wasn't a lot in it," he said.

"If anything, we had the best chances at that point. [For them] to come out and concede straight after half-time killed the game.

"There wasn't three goals between the teams, and we need to make sure we put that right.

"I know a lot about their side, so we approach it with confidence. We've had two hard-fought points in the past couple of games.

"You saw a real team effort on Tuesday night, and we've got to keep grinding and working things out."
