Warrington Town have followed up the signing of forward Elliot Morris with the capture of left-back Jack Hont, also from City of Liverpool.
Hont, 27, has been training all week and took part in a pre-game session with Morris and Jay Harris ahead of the FA Trophy tie at Southport, for which he was cup-tied and ineligible to play.
He will, however, be available to feature against Cammell Laird in the Cheshire Senior Cup on Tuesday night in the absence of Andy White, who is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury.
Manager Paul Carden said: "I signed Jack because every time I’ve seen him play he’s been solid, been fit and a good competitor. He’s a left back that can also play left centre half, which gives us that balance which obviously we’re missing with Whitey being out for some time.
"Jack was desperate to come, he wants to prove he’s capable at the level, and he wants to work hard. He’s a good lad and hopefully him and Elliot can be players that we’ve taken from a couple of steps below that we can get playing in the way we need to play."
Hont previously played for Welsh side Prestatyn Town, Burscough and AFC Liverpool.
