Katia Kouyate joins club on loan

Warrington Town have signed left winger or centre forward Katia Kouyate on an initial one-month loan from Football League side Barrow.

The 22-year-old made 21 appearances for Barrow in League Two last season and moves to the Yellows after a similar spell this season on loan at Spennymoor Town in the National League North, where he played eight times.

Kouyate was at Everton from the age of eight before leaving to join Barrow in the summer of 2024 on a three-year deal.

While at Everton, Kouyate scored in a pre-season friendly for the first team. He also regularly featured for Everton’s Under 21s side in the EFL Trophy.

He goes straight into contention for tonight’s scheduled league game at Bamber Bridge, which is subject to a 5pm pitch inspection.
