Jordan Scanlon joins Warrington Town

Warrington Town have signed midfielder Jordan Scanlon from Hyde United ahead of the weekend’s trip to Guiseley.

The 22-year-old is a product of the Liverpool academy and has been a regular in the Northern Premier League with the Tigers over the past two seasons.

He featured for Hyde in both of the Yellows’ matches there earlier this season, in the league and FA Cup.

The former Atherton Collieries man has trained with Paul Carden’s squad this week and goes straight into contention for the game in Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the club can confirm that Matty Waters has joined Prescot Cables on loan until the end of the season.

Waters has made 22 appearances for the Yellows since arriving from Marine in the summer, though he hasn’t featured since New Year’s Day due to injury.
