Warrington Town can confirm the addition of defender Zac Corbett to Paul Carden’s squad.
Corbett, 23, has featured in several pre-season games and will add versatility to the back-line, being capable of playing at centre back or left back.
He was forced to sit out the whole of last season after suffering an ACL injury in a pre-season game playing for Southport at Widnes.
After starting pre-season at Altrincham, he was invited to train with the Yellows and did enough to earn a deal.
Corbett said: “Pre-season has been good. It’s been great to meet the lads, I’ve enjoyed it.
“After having a year out, for me the main thing is getting back into it and getting in to the full swing of 90 minutes.
“I spoke to the gaffer about getting as much as I can but at the same time understanding I’m going to be on the bench and coming on when I can, so I’ve got to grab the chance with both hands if I want the shirt.
“I want to break in to the team when I can try and win the league this time round.”
His previous clubs include FC United and Nantwich Town while as a junior he spent time at Stoke and Crewe.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Josh Cook has been training with the Yellows as understudy to number one Tony McMillan.
