Club statement: Pyrotechnics

Warrington Town are disappointed to have to issue a further reminder regarding spectator behaviour in relation to the use of pyrotechnics at the recent away game at Rylands.

Unfortunately, a number of smoke bombs were let off by purported supporters of Warrington Town and this has inevitably led to the club being placed under investigation by the FA.

Pyrotechnics, which includes flares, smoke bombs and fireworks, are strictly banned from all football grounds and anyone caught in possession or using pyrotechnics could end up with a permanent criminal record and a stadium ban.

The club has invested in additional security measures in recent seasons at our home games to ensure the safety of spectators.

It is disappointing that incidents at away games this season may lead to the club incurring further costs by the way of fines, which has a negative impact on club operations.
