Warrington Town left-back Andy White says the message is clear heading into the final 11 games of the season: there is no room for error.
The Yellows find themselves eight points from safety but still have four of the bottom seven to play before the end of the season - starting on Saturday against Rushall Olympic.
Paul Carden's side have struggled for wins of late and come into the weekend level on points with Rushall, having come from two goals down to
rescue a draw at Alfreton Town last time out.
That result demonstrated the Yellows' fighting spirit - something which Carden has alluded to during recent post-match interviews - and White insists the squad has enough experience and quality to give themselves a chance of avoiding the drop.
"It’s clear to see that the lads are fighting until the death to get us points," he said.
"We had the late comebacks against Chorley and Alfreton. If a few little things or key moments start to go our way, I'm confident that we’ll start turning these performances into three points.
"The message from Cards and the staff ahead of Saturday is that time is running out.
"We need to do everything in our power to get results quickly. We won’t roll over and all need to come together for this great football club.
"Football is a crazy sport at times, and we have 11 massive games to turn this around."
Having spent three months out with an ankle injury, White made an immediate impact on his return to the side, scoring a stoppage-time leveller off the bench to earn his side a point at home to Chorley two weeks ago.
White was one of a number of current players that earned promotion with the club back in the 2022/23 campaign, and although it has been a difficult season to date, White is confident that the quality of the squad can come to the fore.
"People in that dressing room are used to success and we’re all hurting right now," he added.
"But rest assured, no one’s throwing in the towel.
"I believe that we have enough character and quality to stay up, but we need to let our performances do the talking."
