Former Premier League defender Andre Wisdom has penned a deal to stay at Warrington Town until at least the end of the season.
Wisdom, 30, linked up with the Yellows earlier this season after a couple of seasons away from the game. He previously played for Liverpool, Derby County, West Brom, Norwich City and Red Bull Salzburg.
Since his arrival, Wisdom has made 13 appearances for the Yellows, during which time the club has only lost two league games in which he has featured.

He has now signed a contract to keep him at Cantilever Park until the end of the 2023/24 National League North campaign.
On the new deal, Wisdom said: “I’m finding it really good. I’m enjoying getting game time and getting on with the lads on and off the pitch, which always helps.
“I’m getting fitter each game, I do feel it. The aches are lessening! I still feel like there’s more to come from me, but I’m experienced enough to know how to manage myself and my body.
“I’ve missed being in-and-amongst the lads, and knowing that everyone is working towards the same goal. I’ve played in quite a few teams and, for sure, this is one where I look to the left and right of me and know that everyone is going to work hard for each other.”

Manager Mark Beesley said: “It’s outstanding for the club and supporters for us to be able to keep Andre until minimum the end of the season. He’s been great, he’s come in and give us a big lift. He’s a big character, he’s got a great personality and he’s an excellent player.
“We’re lucky to have someone of that calibre around us and we need to make the most of it and learn from him. It’s amazing to have him here, and it shows the level the club is at and that we can attract players and people like Andre Wisdom.”
Wisdom and his team-mates are on the road this weekend, with the long trip to King’s Lynn Town. Live commentary will be available from 3pm on mixlr.com/theyellows.
