Warrington Town’s FA Cup journey to begin September 22

Warrington Town will enter the FA Cup on Tuesday September 22 at the First Qualifying Round stage.

It has been announced that the 2020/21 FA Cup competition will begin on September 1 with Extra Preliminary Rounds.

Premier Division rivals Matlock Town, Staybridge Celtic and Ashton United will all feature in the Preliminary Round on September 12, alongside N/West and S/East Division teams.

The First Round Qualifying starts on September 22, which will feature all remaining Premier Division teams.

After two seasons of record levels of prize funds, the Emirates FA Cup prize fund has returned back in line with 2017-18 levels due to the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

First Round Qualifying winners will receive £2,250 in prize funds, with the losers receiving £750.

Second Round Qualifying Winners will receive £3,375, with £1,125 for the losers.
