To coincide with the club’s 75th anniversary, Warrington Town are looking for former players, fans and volunteers to share their stories and any memorabilia they may have from yesteryear.
A project to document all the results in the club’s history is to be made available via the club website shortly, providing context to the club’s current position as high up the football pyramid as it has ever been.
All line-ups and goalscorers from at least the past 25 years are known, with many from the 1980s and 1990s also documented. This means that we can calculate the playing record of players from those eras, in terms of appearances and goals scored.

Every goalscorer from 1949 to 1989 is also known, meaning there are a selection of games missing from the 1990s to complete the whole list of players and goals scored.
We hope that former players and fans may have programmes, photos or other memorabilia from years gone by that may help fill any gaps.
Those mementos will also help us to paint a picture of the whole story of the club, again to be documented via the club website and eventually, via a permanent exhibition at the club.

Examples of memorabilia collected so far include a playing shirt from the 1987 FA Vase final, photos from when the Yellows trained with Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United and various pendants and trophies from down the years.
Throughout the season and ongoing, we aim to conduct interviews with past players to tell their stories of playing for Warrington Town, and get their opinions on the club’s current status and its potential for moving forward.
