Planning application submitted for two new stands

Warrington Town can confirm that a planning application for two new stands at the Cal.Delivery Stadium has been submitted.

The two new 100-seater stands will sit either side of the existing popular ‘Shed End’ terrace, and will be made possible by the support of a new major partner for the club, details of which will be revealed once the plans have been rubber-stamped.

Although the new stands will have minimal impact on the capacity of the ground, they will provide additional seating and more importantly, more covered accommodation for fans to enjoy the matchday experience.

The new seats will also take the stadium beyond the 500-seat mark that is required for potential participation in the National League North play-offs and beyond in future.

It also provides regular seating behind the goal for home fans, when the stand at the other end - constructed back in 2024 - is segregated for usage by away fans only.

Subject to planning approval and the receipt of match funding from the Premier League Stadium Fund, the intention is for the work to be completed ahead of the 2026/27 season.

In the coming weeks, a new bar kiosk will be opened using the serving hatch in the side of the social club, to provide additional serving points to buy drinks and ease queues in the main bar.

The full keg system has now been installed, with pumps ready to go once the finishing touches have been applied to the room for staff.

The club is also working on required upgrades to the original snack bar, which is coming to the end of its recommended lifespan, and a new treatment room owing to the increased requirements of the ground grading criteria.

Further recommendations have been made following a routine ground grading inspection to add concrete pathways or flagged areas to the ‘away end’ and to exit areas, that the club will work towards completing next year subject to available resource.

While the main focus is understandably on what happens on the pitch, the club will continue to improve the infrastructure around it as much as possible to future proof for progress.
