The new stands at the Cantilever bridge end are now in place as work continues at the ground.
The hard work of chairman Toby Macormac, Scott Taylor of Taylor Made Garden Maintenance, Andrew Rowlinson of AC Joinery and Warren Slease-Lloyd of Birchfield Services has made the project possible.
The work involved clearing land at that end of the ground and then the arduous task of levelling the sloping ground either side of the existing stand.
Concrete footings were then measured out and poured in place, ready for the new stands to be located.
Additional work was required to increase access points, which will in turn lead to a potential further exit point for supporters in the future. Further remedial work continues to finish the job, with additional groundwork being put in place to accommodate the Bellefields Brew refreshment truck and a mini-fanzone with seating adjacent.
The new stands comprise of 176 seats in total, with four dedicated disability viewing spaces. That brings the total seating capacity of the ground up to 612, with the overall capacity now just above 3,100.
The work on the pitch is ongoing ahead of the installation of new goal posts in the coming weeks, and the usual summer maintenance tasks at the ground, such as painting existing stands and hatched areas, will be undertaken ahead of the pre-season schedule.
Big thanks goes to the new title sponsor of the Cantilever bridge end of the ground, which will be announced at an event later in the summer.
The new stands will be operational for the first home pre-season friendly against Chester on Saturday 18th July (3pm kick-off).
