Striker Josh Amis is the latest player to commit to the Warrington Town squad for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
Amis, 26, has scored 22 goals for the Yellows since arriving in 2018, including the winning goal in the Northern Premier League play-off final in 2019.
He has spent time this year playing in the Welsh Premier League with Flint Town United, scoring a hat-trick against Cefn Druids and posting six goals, four assists and four man of the match awards in a 14 game stint.
Yellows boss Paul Carden said: “He’s probably not played as much football as he would have liked during his time here. But when he does play he contributes, he has an impact and his goal record is good.
“He didn’t want to sit on his hands and do nothing – he was prepared to go over to Flint and play and he scored a few goals in the process.
“He’s a big character in the dressing room as well as a big player on the pitch. He’s a good lad to have around as well as being a good player. It’s important we don’t overlook that.”
Amis joins fellow striker Jordan Buckley, defender Eddie Clarke and midfielder Luke Duffy as confirmed signings in Carden’s squad, who have already been back in pre-season training for more than two weeks.
The pre-season friendly period starts this Saturday away at Maghull, with a number of trialists expected to take part.
Season Ticket sales have started well, with more than 50% of last season’s total having already renewed their tickets, as well as several new supporters signing up.
