Warrington Town striker Jordan Buckley has said he is feeling fit again after suffering from “niggly” injuries so far this season.
The former FC United of Manchester forward featured from the bench in Saturday’s 3-2 away defeat to Mickleover, scoring a late goal in injury time at the Don Amott Arena, his first of the season.
His only other appearances this season came in the FA Cup home clash against South Shields in September.
Now, with a fitness programme from manager Paul Carden and assistant coach Mark Beesley, Buckley is on the road to full fitness.
“It’s good to be back and feeling fit again,” said Buckley.
“The programme has been good and hopefully will stop me picking up little niggles. It’s just a programme of different strengthening exercises and resistant band exercises.
“There’s nothing worse than watching from the sidelines. I want to build on that goal against Mickleover and reach targets I’ve set myself for the season and also help the lads push for promotion.”

Saturday’s defeat was the first in the Yellows’ season, but the side remain at the top of the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division table with 12 points.
Carden’s side have so far picked up wins against Basford United, Gainsborough Trinity, Atherton Collieries and Whitby Town.
Buckley said: “We will bounce back from it.
“In this league anyone can beat anyone definitely so we’re gonna have to make sure we work hard and get the three points against Radcliffe.”
