Dec Walker faces one-armed golfer ahead of Warrington Town Golf Day

Warrington Town defender Dec Walker recently joined Ray, AKA the one-armed golfer, ahead of next month’s Golf Day.

Hometown favourite Walker, who arrived at Cantilever Park in September 2022 and was part of the squad that secured promotion in 2022/23, tested his driving and putting prowess against Ray at Hartford Golf Club, as part of Golf Clubs 4 Cash’s “Ray versus…” YouTube series.

During their time on the course, Walker discussed the highs and lows of his time at Warrington Town and career to date.

Booking is still open for our 2024 Golf Day, taking place at Antrobus Golf Club on Wednesday 15 May.

Join Warrington Town players and staff, together with special guest sports personalities and celebrity players, for a round of golf, a pie and chips supper and raffle as we kick-off the summer with this event.

Each four-ball costs £300+VAT – comprising of your trio and the guest player.

Individuals wanting to participate can also get involved for £120, and will be paired with other solo players.

Hole sponsorship is available for each hole, to help raise money for the club’s ongoing ground works.

Mulligans can be bought throughout the day, which kicks off at 12pm with tee-off at 1:30pm.

Everyone will then retire to the club for food, to be served at 5:30pm, and then the raffle to follow, with the bar open into the evening.

The event is being run in partnership with GolfClubs4Cash, based on Kerfoot Street near the town centre.
