There was no separating Warrington Town and National League North side Buxton after an entertaining pre-season friendly ended 2-2 at Silverlands.
The Yellows opened the scoring seven minutes into the contest when Luke Duffy fired home his second goal of pre-season from just outside the penalty area.
The hosts responded quickly however, and they were unfortunate not to draw level when Diego De Girolamo’s 16th minute penalty struck the base of the post.
Eventually they did find a response, with Shaun Brisley firing home after nice link-up play with De Girolamo.
James Hardy then put Bucks ahead in the second half with a driving run and long-range finish.
There was still time for Mark Beesley’s side to draw level in the closing stages, as Mikey Howard heading home at the back post after excellent build-up play down the right.
Warrington Town are back in action at home to Bolton Wanderers’ B Team on Tuesday 2 August, 7:45pm kick-off.
