Yellows Lottery provides first £10k payment to club

The Warrington Town Lucky Numbers Lottery has provided its first £10,000 payment to the club.

Launched at the start of the 2024/25 season, the Yellows Lottery, run by Neil Pearson, costs £5 per month per number to play, and has a weekly prize draw, as well as a high prize Christmas and season-end draw.

The lottery was set up to give fans a vehicle to raise funds for the club to support certain initiatives for the benefit of the club and its supporters.

Thanks to the hundreds of players that have participated, with the current active number at 234, the lottery has now been able to make its first payment to the club for a specific project.

The money will contribute to a number of works planned at the ground over the coming months:

  • Two new sets of goal posts, to meet new standards.
  • Pitch works at both ends of the ground to level, which will involve removing a considerable amount of the current pitch to help flatten and level the goal areas, for the installation of new goals.
  • Addition of hard walkways around and behind the stand at the 3G end of the ground.

The Yellows Lottery has been running for 76 weeks and the current weekly prize is £100.

Neil said: “Your continued and invaluable support of the club lottery is helping on so many levels, helping the chairman plan with the knowledge that he has financial support from the people that matter so much to him and this football club, us the supporters.

“I know I say it a lot, but genuinely I’m blown away with the fantastic support you have all afforded me and this idea I had 18 months ago.

"As long as you guys are prepared to pay and spread the gospel of the lottery, I will be there to run it.”
