Jordan Buckley scored for the sixth league game running to earn Warrington Town a point in a 1-1 draw at Nantwich Town.
The in-form striker brought down James Baillie’s cross and then fired low past Matt Gould to cancel out Joel Stair’s opener.
Stair had pounced on an uncharacteristic error by Yellows ‘keeper Dan Atherton midway through the first half to put the hosts a goal up at the break.
But a draw was probably the least the Yellows deserved.
Other than the goal, Nantwich didn’t have a shot – while the Yellows might rue a few half chances in the second half.
Luke Duffy brought down Sean Williams’ long ball with two wonderful touches, shooting straight at Gould at the near post when he should have perhaps opened up to find the far corner.
Mark Roberts also had a free header from a corner that went to waste, with Gould making routine stops to twice deny Buckley.
Warrington are next in action at home to Whitby Town on Saturday.
