Warrington Town triple signing confirmed

Warrington Town have signed forward Jonas Mukuna and drafted in two loan signings to cover for the injuries impacting Paul Carden’s squad.

Mukuna, 20, trained with the squad ahead of the FA Cup game against Bamber Bridge, though registered too late to feature.

A pacey winger, he played in the National League North last season with Peterborough Sports, making 16 appearances, and was previously with Farnborough in the National League South, after spending time with Walsall and QPR as a youngster.

Striker Mark Isong has joined on an initial-month deal from Bolton Wanderers.

The Irishman joined Bolton last autumn on a two-year deal from League of Ireland club Shelbourne.

As part of the Bolton B side, 19-year-old Isong has played alongside former Yellows loanee Dubem Eze.

Defender Aaron Pickles arrives from Southport on-loan until January, and played against the Yellows in the National League North last season.

The 20-year-old made 18 appearances for Accrington Stanley before making the permanent move to Southport in the summer.

All three players go in to contention for Saturday’s Northern Premier League fixture away at Gainsborough Trinity.

As revealed last weekend, defender Patrick Gamble, who was drafted in on a non-contract basis for the games against Whitby and Ilkeston, has signed for National League North side Marine, though remains dual-registered with the Yellows.

Midfielder Sam Gill has joined Northwich Victoria on a short-term deal to help him get match fitness following a spell on the sidelines through injury.

The club continues to scour the market and has held negotiations over further permanent signings to bolster the squad.
