Vacancy: Club physiotherapist

Warrington Town are looking for a new physio ahead of the 2023/24 National League North season.

We pass on our best wishes to Ben Nutter, who has left the club to take up a full-time position with a Football League club.

This is an opportunity for someone wanting to get some hands on experience at a semi-professional club alongside an existing job or studies.

Club Physio requirements:

• Manage the medical practice across the club.
• Full attendance at all first team match days (home and away), including training.
• To have had some experience at first team level, understanding the role and relationships with players and staff alike.
• Provide on field support and clear communication with all staff during games and training.
• Collate, analyse and feedback relevant medical information to the appropriate Club staff for all players. This is to include updates on injured players, rehabilitation programmes, return to train/play dates and injury audits.
• To contribute to and monitor the management of the injuries to the first team squad where necessary.
• Assessment and management of injuries and illnesses to players, including relevant referral to internal and external health professionals.
• Accurate recording of all injuries in an injury record.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of work conducted with athletes and coaches. To include current medical status, medical notes, rehabilitation and prehab programmes, medical/orthopaedic/movement screen results.
• Design and dissemination of individual injury minimisation programmes.
• Work effectively with other support staff and services, including doctors/sport science services, to provide an integrated approach to performance enhancement.
• Be able to do team warmups where necessary.
• Be flexible with travel to training or match days.

Qualifications required:

• Degree in physiotherapy or sports therapy
• * FA Level 4 ITMMiF qualification
