Mo Ali has thanked fans for their support after undergoing an operation on his knee injury.
Ali, 27, proved to be a popular addition to the Yellows squad in the summer, but unfortunately suffered a bad injury in the home draw with Buxton back in September.
The injury also impacted Ali’s day job as a driving instructor.
A crowdfunder page was set up to help raise funds for the required surgery and to help Ali in the interim period.
He tweeted: “Operation (done) finally after five months. Road to recovery starts now and can’t wait to get back playing.
“I would like to thank Warrington Town FC and everyone that had donated to the GoFundMe page that has helped me to pay for his operation.”
Chairman Toby Macormac confirmed at the recent fans’ forum that Ali will be invited back to pre-season training in the summer when he regains fitness.
