Fans will now be permitted at the three home pre-season friendlies, following an update to the government guidelines issued by the FA last week.
The Yellows take on City of Liverpool this Friday (August 28, 7.45pm), before welcoming National League North sides Southport (Tuesday September 1, 7.45pm) and AFC Fylde (Saturday September 12, 3pm) ahead of the league season starting on September 19.
For the City of Liverpool game, capacity at Cantilever Park will be limited to 300 as per the new guidelines. This will be increased to 600 for the Southport/AFC Fylde games.
Tickets for all three games are now available to buy online, on a first come, first served basis.
Entry for all three home pre-season games is priced at £6 Adults, £3 Concessions and £1 under 16s.
We advise buying in advance to avoid disappointment, as there may be no tickets left by the day of the games. Last season’s home game against City of Liverpool in the FA Cup saw a crowd of more than 600 and so we anticipate that Friday’s game at least will be a sell out. An allocation has been made for away fans and we look forward to welcoming Craig Robinson’s side.
Football has changed for the forseeable future and will require co-operation from supporters to enable the successful lobbying to continue to increase capacity restrictions in the week ahead.
COVID-19 requirements will mean all grounds will have to operate in different ways in the form of entrances and exits, and there will be a one-way system in place.
For Friday’s game, the snack bar, club shop and the normal matchday bar will be closed. The main bar in the social club before entering the turnstiles will be open, but due to Warrington Borough Council licensing regulations, this will be table service only, including tables on the car park.
Normal services in some parts of the ground will be available for the Southport and AFC Fylde games.
Sanitising stations and track and trace lists will be stationed at points around the ground, and we ask that these are used and completed by fans. This will also be supported by random temperature checks at the turnstiles.
Fans are asked to keep socially distanced and to respect any steward requests.
