The Yellows put four balls past Lily Blain to secure a place in the semi-final of the Cheshire FA County Cup.
The game kicked off and just four minutes in, Jess Carberry finished past Blain but the linesman had his flag up for offside.
The Yellows continued to attack and put the ball in the net again a few minutes later - Paige Vanden receiving the ball from Carberry and firing past the Witches goalie to give the Yellows the early lead.
Middlewich tried to answer back with Casey Beamon driving into the box and attempting to find the far corner but goalie Katie Donohue was down quick and got a strong right hand to the ball.
Town continued to push for the rest of the half and had a chance to double their lead through defensive midfielder Chloe Green who ran onto Savage’s perfect through ball but Blain kept the Witches in the game.
After the half time intermission, it was the Witches who had found a spark scoring two goals in two minutes to give them the lead.
Yellows shortly equalised after through Ella Rigby who back-heeled Jess Carberry’s corner into the net.
Witches attempted to clear but there was chaos around Blain on the goal line and thus they couldn’t get rid of the ball allowing Rigby to tap it home.
Middlewich took the lead again just seven minutes later with Casey Beamon pouncing on an error from the Yellows’ defence, dribbling around Donohue and firing home to earn her second goal of the game.
The Yellows equalised again four minutes later with a looping shot from Danielle Burns from 30 yards out that towered over Blain and dropped into the net.
Town almost took the lead late in the game with Paige Vanden laying substitute Abby Hircombe through on goal but her shot was well-saved by Blain.
Yellows eventually did take the lead again in the 80th minute, all thanks to Jess Carberry who didn’t have her goal disallowed this time - her shot curled into the top corner from the edge of the 18-yard-box to give the Yellows an advantage late in the game.
Full time eventually came and the Yellows could breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they were heading back to Warrington with a place secured in the semi-final.
They will look to build upon the momentum next week as they travel to the Deva Stadium to face Chester in League action.
