Warrington Town made it 12 games unbeaten with a goalless draw away at Matlock Town.
The Yellows kept a third successive clean sheet and looked the most likely to win the game but just couldn’t get it done.
They suffered an early blow when skipper Josh Amis was helped off injured inside the first 10 minutes with what looked like a back injury, meaning long minutes for Jordan Buckley.
Buckley drew the best save of the match from Saul Deeney, hitting a left-foot half-volley well that the Matlock ‘keeper pushed behind for a corner.

The Yellows forced more than 10 corners in the match without really troubling the hosts, for whom new signing Dan Bradley was excellent in front of the back four.
Evan Gumbs, making his 100th appearance for the Yellows, was excellent at the back and he twice snuffed out Jorome Slew in the box in the first half.
Buckley on the stretch forced a save from Deeney before Dec Walker flashed a shot wide from the resulting short corner.
The best chance of the opening 45 minutes fell to Matlock though, a lovely turn in the box by Connor Dimaio opened things up and Ethan Cartwright drilled a shot just wide of Tony Thompson’s right-hand post.
The Yellows opened Matlock up early in the second half, only for the ball to get stuck under the feet of Isaac Buckley-Ricketts on his way through, eventually resulting in Matty McDonald drilling a shot straight at Deeney.
In the final quarter of the game, there only looked like being one winner as Buckley-Ricketts caused problems, first drilling a shot that was deflected wide and then shooting wide after cutting in from the left.
LATEST NEWS: Yellows make double signing

Tom Warren made his second Yellows debut late on but in the end, both sides had to settle for a point.
