Warrington Town are back at home for the first time since January 7 this weekend as Stafford Rangers visit Cantilever Park in the Northern Premier League.
Since their last home outing, a 3-1 victory over Belper Town, the Yellows have extended their unbeaten run to nine matches, having come from behind in each of the last four away matches to win one and draw three, picking up six points from a possible 12.
A win against mid-table Stafford would also help Town keep up the pressure on the teams above them in the race for the play-offs.
It is the first of two home games in quick succession, with Lancaster City visiting on Tuesday night.
The Yellows will be without Eddie Clarke after he was released by mutual consent earlier this week.
Midfield duo Stefan Mols and Matty McDonald are both pushing for starts, having been unused substitutes last weekend against FC United of Manchester.
Manager Mark Beesley says his squad must look to build on their recent home win against Belper and turn Cantilever Park into a fortress for the remainder of the season.
The last time the squad tasted defeat at home came in the FA Trophy against Guiseley in mid-November.
“It’ll be nice to get back home after four games on the road,” Beesley said.
“It’s important that we now back that up on our own pitch. The last home performance against Belper Town, we played really well.
“We’ll be ready, and getting back in our own territory will be really good.”
Warrington Town’s squad is well-equipped to deal with a busy run of fixtures over the next two months as the race for promotion intensifies, according to goalkeeper Tony Thompson.
The battle to reach the National League North appears more eagerly-contested than ever before, but Thompson believes the quality at Mark Beesley’s disposal will serve them well over the coming weeks.
Discussing the nature of the group, he said: “I think it’s quality over quantity, to be honest.
“When you look at the individuals we’ve got in the squad, there are some massive characters and massive players.
“You don’t need a massive squad at this level. Games come thick and fast, there’s more onus on us looking after ourselves, and we’ve got the players to do that.”
