Warrington Town welcome Rushall Olympic to the UNIS Compliance Stadium this Saturday for more National League North action.
The Yellows will be hoping to build on last weekend’s 3-1 victory away at Gloucester City as they look to move within the top half of the table with another three points tomorrow afternoon.
Rushall Olympic come into this fixture without a league win since October 24, but with Danny Waldron, the league’s top goalscorer, in their arsenal they will be looking for a much-needed three points which could move them out of the relegation zone.
Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.
Sean Williams will be unavailable for Saturday’s clash after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the victory against Gloucester City.
There are no fresh injury concerns for Mark Beesley’s side.
Manager Mark Beesley has admitted that his side needs to improve their performances on home soil as they prepare for back-to-back fixtures at the UNIS Compliance Stadium.
The Yellows have picked up nine points from their first eight home outings, with their most recent game ending in a disappointing 1-0 defeat at the hands of Peterborough Sports.
“Our home form has been very up and down,” Beesley said.
“But we’ve had some great results and performances – the South Shields one, in particular, was outstanding.
“I thought that we let ourselves down a little bit last weekend, but I won’t criticise the players because they’ve given everything for the club.
“It’s up to us now to be better, we’ve had a whole training week to get ourselves ready because every game is tough.
“Rushall Olympic are scoring goals – they’ve got the league’s current top scorer in Danny Waldron so I’m expecting a really tough game.”
Warrington Town captain Josh Amis is relishing the opportunity to add more goals to his tally as he continues to become acclimatised to life in the National League North.
After recovering from an injury which ruled him out for the first 11 league matches, it hasn’t taken the skipper long to find his feet, netting three goals in his first five outings since returning to the fold.
“I’ve really enjoyed my return to playing,” Amis said.
“I think it’s always good to test yourself at a higher level, and it’s good to play against new teams too.
“I’m made up to be back playing, and I think the lads have done brilliantly when I’ve been out of action too.
“Without me and Jordan Buckley being available, someone’s needed to play out of position and we’ve still been competitive in every game.
“I think it gives the team a boost, having the two of us back. We were quite short on numbers, so to get both strikers fit again at the same time should be a real lift.”
