Warrington Town will hope to turn their form around with a win on Saturday as they welcome Radcliffe to Cantilever Park in the Northern Premier League.
The Yellows have suffered three consecutive defeats in all competitions, and are in desperate need of three points against an in-form Boro side.
Mark Beesley’s side sit 15th in the league ahead of Saturday’s fixture, but will hope that they can return to winning ways on home soil and clinch a much-sought-after three points.
The two sides have met 39 times in total in the league, with the Yellows winning 19, drawing eight and losing 12 of those clashes.
The teams played out a 1-1 draw last time they met at Cantilever Park in December of last year, with Boro player-manager Bobby Grant cancelling out Jordan Buckley’s opener.
A repeat of their most recent matchup would be ideal for the Yellows, who were triumphant back in March as goals from Stefan Mols and Jack Mackreth sealed a 2-0 win at the Neuven Stadium.
Midfielder Matty McDonald is hopeful that home advantage can work in the Yellows’ favour as they prepare for Saturday’s clash with Radcliffe.
McDonald, who scored his first goal for the club against Bamber Bridge in midweek, believes the squad have the capabilities to bounce back from their recent downturn in results ahead of a busy month of league and cup action.
“I think that with any team, you’re usually more comfortable playing at home,” he said.
“Now more than ever we need to take advantage of that and use the home advantage to get us back to our high standards.
“The crowd is vital in that, and hopefully they can drive us forward and make for a change in our results.”
