After over three weeks without a fixture, Warrington Town return to action on Boxing Day against Marine.
The Yellows currently sit on the fringes of the play-off places, and they will lock horns with a Marine side currently sat in the play-off places.
A win would see Mark Beesley’s side climb above their opponents in the league table.
A bumper crowd is expected at Cantilever Park as both sides feature in one of the busiest days in the footballing calendar.
Jordan Buckley continues to work his way back to full fitness and could gain more minutes after coming on as a second half substitute against Stalybridge Celtic earlier this month.
Right-back Josh Seary is available for selection after his recent ban, but captain Josh Amis remains suspended.
Warrington Town forward Luke Duffy says the club can’t let standards slip if they want to challenge for promotion this season.
Despite their struggles for consistency at times during the 2022/23 season, Duffy believes the nature of the league means it doesn’t take a lot for a club to develop into serious promotion contenders.
“The first half of the season has been good on the whole,” he said. “We’ve got a great group of lads who play for each other, and we try to play the right way.
“If you win a couple of games on the spin you’re right up there. It’s important that we keep putting points on the board.
“This league is too competitive to take lightly.”
