Warrington Town gear up for another trip to the north-east tonight as they visit Spennymoor Town in the National League North.
The Yellows come into this fixture off the back of an excellent 3-0 victory away at Curzon Ashton on Saturday which extended their unbeaten run in the league to six games, putting them within two points of the play-offs.
In their last meeting with Spennymoor Town, the two teams played out a dramatic 3-3 draw at Cantilever Park in September, with Dylan Mottley-Henry grabbing an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury time after Mark Beesley’s side fought back from 2-0 down to earn a deserved point.
Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.
Warrington Town forward Matt Grivosti will be available for tonight’s clash against Spennymoor after serving a one-match ban following his red card against Boston United.
Tonight’s game is expected to come too soon for captain Josh Amis, who is nearing his recovery from an ankle injury.
Warrington Town manager Mark Beesley is expecting another tough away trip for his side as they make the long journey to County Durham after a quick turnaround from Saturday’s victory over Curzon Ashton.
Tonight’s fixture will be the second of a three-game week for the Yellows, with a home clash against Brackley Town on the horizon this weekend.
Despite the daunting schedule, Beesley believes his squad are ready to meet the challenge head-on.
“It’s a bit cliché but we’ve just got to look at each game because each one is a tough game,” Beesley said.
“We’ve got to go away on Tuesday, which is tough because the lads are working. Three-game weeks stretch a small squad, but it’s a challenge and that’s what we’ve got to be ready for.
“You can get away with a Saturday-to-Saturday week because you can work all week in training or rest people – we’ve got a few niggles [against Curzon Ashton] which we’ll assess.
“We’ve got good players who didn’t play against Curzon who might get the chance in the week.”
Tuesday’s National League North fixture at Brewery Field kicks off at 7:45pm. Match tickets, available to buy online or at the turnstiles, are priced as follows:
