Warrington Town visit the Clayborn Ground for the first time this weekend, to take on Liversedge in the Northern Premier League.
The Yellows will hope to recover from Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Gainsborough Trinity and pick up three valuable points against a Sedge side currently third-bottom in the league table.
Saturday’s fixture will also mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams, with Liversedge earning promotion from the NPL East Division last season.
The Yellows remain without Jordan Buckley (ankle), Isaac Buckley-Ricketts (appendix) and Mikey Howard (knee), who are all set for lengthy spells on the sidelines.
Bohan Dixon serves the second game of a three-match suspension, while Josh Amis will be monitored after struggling with illness in midweek.
Stefan Mols and Josh Seary will also be assessed ahead of Saturday’s game.
Connor Woods is keen to help Warrington Town push on after an indifferent start to the Northern Premier League season.
Woods, who joined the Yellows on loan from Southport last week, started in last Saturday’s FA Trophy victory over Hebburn Town before making his home debut against Gainsborough Trinity in midweek.
Having settled quickly into life at the club, the 24-year-old now has aims of helping Town turn their recent form around in hopes of getting back to winning ways.
“Of course, that’s one of the main reasons I’m here,” Woods said. “I want to help the team do well and go on a run of winning some games.
“Personally, I’d like to get a few goals and get consistent with my performances. There are a lot of matches coming up so it should be a good few weeks.”
Saturday’s Northern Premier League fixture at the Clayborn Ground kicks off at 3:00pm.
