Warrington Town are back on their travels on Tuesday night as they prepare to visit Lancaster City in the Northern Premier League.
Following Saturday’s impressive 4-0 win at Liversedge, the injury-hit Yellows will be keen to push on as their search for consistency takes them to the Giant Axe.
Victory last weekend saw the Yellows climb into the top half of the division, and they will be hopeful of another promising display against a Dolly Blues side searching for just a third league win of the season.
Last season, the Yellows won home and away against Tuesday night’s hosts.
Captain Josh Amis’ second-half header was enough to seal a 1-0 victory in the very same fixture last season.
When they locked horns again at Cantilever Park in December 2021, Jordan Buckley scored a hat-trick, while Jack Mackreth and Matty Grivosti also got in on the act in a resounding 5-1 win.
Warrington Town manager Mark Beesley has urged his players to build on their encouraging display in West Yorkshire last time out.
“Performance-wise, we’ve probably been at a good level, but results-wise we’ve been inconsistent,” he admitted.
“We’ve got to change that, but you’ve got to play well to get those results.”
Tuesday night’s Northern Premier League fixture at the Giant Axe kicks off at 7:45pm.
Match tickets are available to purchase at the turnstiles and are priced as follows:
