Warrington Town will prepare for two National League North fixtures in the space of four days, as part of the Easter bank holiday.
First up is a trip to Scarborough Athletic on Good Friday, before returning home on Easter Monday to welcome Darlington to Cantilever Park.
Mark Beesley’s men will return to the Flamingo Land Stadium for the first time since their Northern Premier League playoff final defeat to the Seadogs at the end of the 2021/22 season. The Yellows will be looking to complete the double over tomorrow’s opponents after they exacted their revenge back in December with a 4-0 win on home soil.
Town rescued a point in their previous meeting with Darlington at Blackwell Meadows, courtesy of a late strike from Connor Woods.
Below, we’ve compiled everything you need to know ahead of the two fixtures.
Warrington Town midfielder Jay Harris, who was sent off in last Saturday’s defeat to Scunthorpe United, will be available for Good Friday’s trip to Scarborough due to the seven-day suspension rule, but will miss out on the next three fixtures, including the Easter Monday clash against Darlington.
Matt Grivosti will be pushing for a first start since the Southport fixture after being absent due to illness and a slight injury. He came on as a second-half substitute in Tuesday’s win away at Peterborough Sports.
Preston loanee Kacper Pasiek will be monitored ahead of the Easter weekend after incurring an ankle injury in training.
Warrington Town manager Mark Beesley is preparing his side for two tough battles over a busy Easter period.
After losing their previous two games, the Yellows returned to winning ways after a clinical 3-1 performance away at Peterborough Sports.
Now, Beesley is hoping to push on further from their midweek victory by building some momentum in back-to-back Easter fixtures.
“[Momentum can be built] with games coming quickly, and that’s what we’re aiming to do,” Beesley said.
“The first one was to come here [Peterborough] after Saturday’s defeat, and now that we’ve done that, we’ll have to dust ourselves down and get back on the bus on Friday morning.
“The schedule is what it is – Scarborough will have an advantage because they haven’t played in midweek and we’ll have tired bodies so we’ll have to take a look at things and take it from there.”
